The Celebration … Sabrina style.

Sabrina might turn out to be a party planner one day. She planned everything about her birthday party from the location, to the treats and of course, the guests. We normally do smaller parties but this year she really wanted to invite, “everyone.” And that she did.

It was still simple … with butterfly grape snacks (hand painted by Sabrina and her friend), and strawberry-rice-crispy-treat dessert skewers, chocolate covered marshmallows dipped in candy, and pink colored rice crispy treats. And then there was the singing and then the ice cream sundaes everyone got to make for themselves. I can’t lie — some of their creations looked quite disgusting … some kiddos used every kind of sprinkle and marshmallows and chocolate syrup and cherries and gummies (and their filled their little bowls to the brim). But most of them ate every last drop! My favorite picture, by far, is the image of Sabrina sucking down the chocolate syrup like a baby bottle.

Oh, and Sabrina just, “had to have,” the little umbrellas to top the ice cream treat (which I thought was quite silly) but it turned out that all the kids LOVED that part.  Guess she really knows her audience.

And she got everything she asked for … including a unicorn pillow pet and a stuffed dog that has it’s own carrier and a hello kitty purse and so much more.  I think she was slightly disappointed that I remembered our family rule … which is that you can’t play with it until you thank for it … so, we put all the toys in a row on the dining room table and as she wanted to play with something, we sat down and wrote the note.  So very proud of my girl.
