This couple was married at Mercury Hall so it only made sense that they would want a family session there! We were so lucky that all of our stars aligned — the venue was free (you know it’s wedding season and they are booked every weekend) and I was free (you know it’s holiday card season and I’m booked every weekend)! 🙂 So, it felt like a little Christmas miracle. And it kind of felt a little bit like Christmas Day in Colorado … as I drove down it was 49 degrees. But everyone was so sweet and we just rolled with it (and then we discovered that the hall was actually open … so as our lips were all turning a lovely shade of blue and our cheeks were nice and rosy, we got a little relief inside).
I really had so much fun with this family … and loved many things about this session. I loved that she brought her great-grandmother’s quilt — so bright and beautiful (and we used it to keep the kids warm). I loved the knitted hat. I loved the energy from everyone. I loved all the unprompted kisses and snuggles.
Katie! Thanks so much for a great session! I could not love these pictures more! SO thrilled to have found you! Gig ‘Em!
