The Texas wildflowers are out in full force this year! And thank goodness because last year was completely pitiful.

I love wildflowers … the bright colors and the sweet smell. My favorite wildflower is the Indian Paintbrush (the beautiful red flowers that are always in close proximity to a patch of bluebonnets).  I know, I know … I’m a Texan and therefore, I am supposed to say that the bluebonnets are indeed my favorite wildflower (it is after all, our State flower).

So, yesterday … it rained all the way up until I met this sweet family! And I mean, I was sitting in the car at the field and huge drops were still falling. I debated calling them to reschedule … but then the clouds parted, the sun came out and we had beautiful weather.
