It was hot.
It was humid.
It was windy.
We were all casual.
If you look closely, you can see sand on our clothes and faces.
This wasn’t about getting that *perfect* image. We aren’t coordinating. I’m not wearing any makeup. We’re missing daddy in the picture. I’m wearing sunglasses. Our hair is clearly blowing every direction possible. But it’s a picture of me and my kiddos and I love it.
Too many times, people are waiting for that perfect moment — when they have on their coordinated outfits, their make-up is perfect and their kiddos are perfectly behaved. I get it. We get our pictures professionally taken once per year because I want lovely images for our Christmas card and *gasp*, I want to BE in the photograph and not use a remote (which, by the way, sounds like I’d get two pictures in and then my hubby would be done … but that’s another blog post all together). And, since this is what I do, I WANT you to get professional pictures taken at least once per year ….
but … I also want you to get in the picture as often as you can! Hand your camera to your hubby or your friend or a stranger. Once a year isn’t enough!
So, these pictures won’t be blown up to a 16X20 on my wall … but an 8X10 for next to my bed? I think so!
