Katie – Since my brother, Bob doesn’t do Facebook, I’m including his comment to me here: Katie, that is beautiful and you did a super job of capturing the family gathering. I particular love the last picture with him walking into his room past the photos of the Colonel and the love of his life, Bette. Thanks so much, BobReplyCancel

Oh my goodness! What beautiful pictures! My Uncle Frank was the kind of man that every child should have in her life. He was quietly strong, ever interested in what you were doing-he had that way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room at that moment, kind, and considerate. I love him dearly, and have admired him and his strength and devotion to his family since I was a little girl. My Dad, Dean Starr, has always said that he couldn’t call Uncle Frank a brother-in-law, because he was as much a brother to him as were Marvin, Dale, Jake, and Wayne. Katie, thanks for sharing!
