I tried to steal them …

No really. I have two car seats in my car — I could have taken them home with me. 🙂 These two boys are absolutely precious and despite that fact that we got rained on … they smiled and giggled.

Meet Charlie.

… this session was full of so many different kinds of emotion. Happy. Sad. Elated. Solemn. Blessed … and yet hurting all at the same time. Sweet Charlie has the sweetest, most loving, dedicated and kind parents. Sometimes you meet people and you just *know* they are good down to their soul. They just have...

Katie, thank you for the kind words. We especially thank you and our friends for the pictures and wonderful memories that will go hand in hand with them. Charlie’s story has touched so many lives and his spirit is strong.

For some of you this may be the first time that you see that Callie is pregnant. We are starting our 33rd week and Charlie is growing bigger and stronger every day. As Katie alluded, Charlie’s life has been celebrated with laughter and tears. We found out early on that Charlie screened positive for Trisomy 13, a genetic condition that most often results in death. In Charlie’s case we expect that he may only live a few hours. Yet, Callie and I have embraced his life from the time we found out we were pregnant… on my birthday back in December.

We both decided that we will celebrate his life until it is time to mourn his death. He may never know much about this world but what he does know is that his parents love him. We have had so many great experiences with Charlie and we have shared so much with him. God has truly blessed us in so many ways with our dear son and we are thankful. We know the remainder of Charlie’s story has already been written by God and we are patiently, faithfully, and prayerfully seeking God’s will for all of us.

Both Callie and I have been openly sharing Charlie’s story. It has not always been easy, but memories like those from this day of pictures has really been special. Thanks to everyone who put this together. Thanks too to all of those who have been on this journey and for your prayers and support.

    Charlie’s dad 🙂ReplyCancel
