One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet new people and I love how often our worlds collide! I’ve been noticing this a lot these days … that the world, while huge, feels smaller and smaller. And that if you pay attention, there really are many kind people with only the best intentions who live amongst us.
This mama is really one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. And as we talked before our session together, we learned that she lives on a street so very close to where I grew up (and that I drove almost every day to get to high school) and that her daughter goes to preschool where my sister went to preschool. And then at the session, we had so much fun! Her family is so very sweet and I can’t wait to meet this little boy who is due to arrive in November.
She is planning for an unmedicated hospital birth … somehow I’m going to sneak in and capture his arrival, too. 😉
PS: I tried out a new lens with this session that my sweet friend Emily let me borrow — an 85 1.2L. Photogs — can you tell which images are from that lens and which are from my 50 1.2L?
Love that fence 🙂
The one of Mary Patton giving her Daddy a kiss is pure gold. Thank you Katie!

Precious! Mike, Laura & MP, you are such a beautiful family. Can’t wait to find out if the little one will be as fun as Mike was!

Valerie Vaughan Sesler — I like the way you think. 😉
Oh Laura — there are 40 others for you to come and see! 🙂 So fun meeting you and I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby boy!
Ahhhhhh love all
I noticed a response from your friend Valerie Vaughn from Uniontown PA. That’s where Mike’s brother John & his wife Melanie Staub live. She owns an office supply business there. It’s a small town, I wonder if they are acquainted? LOVE the photos!!
